Why is math so important? That is the one big question that your math students continuously plague you with. You can try telling them that it teaches life skills and helps teach critical, logical thinking. Not that will make a difference. Or you can engage them in some of the newest technologies that are making learning fun, interesting, easier for teachers, and are far more conducive to student participation and involvement.
Teaching mathematics to today’s children does actually prepare them for a possible career that in one way, shape, or form involves math, but it also helps them to become a stable minded, intelligent adult who will be far more likely to perform at a more acceptable level in general at work and in society.
