Transformational coaching for individual learning pathways
- PLCs: We engage a small group of educators around a shared focus identified from the needs assessment and engage in action-learning to build new practices.
- Cohort coaching: As a meaningful follow-up to the PLCs, we work one on one with a strategic cohort of teachers to grow individual capacity toward the focus practices.
- Embedded coaching: We provide intensive mentoring support for a designated teacher
Data-driven resource building
We know that allotting time and space for professional development is especially challenging during this disruptive time, so we are responding to that challenge by figuring out creative ways for you to leverage asynchronous learning. Support your teachers by providing flexible learning opportunities that address areas of instructional need.
Resource Curation
Lean on your Educate coach to curate resources from our comprehensive collection and share them in a way that is responsive, accessible, and meaningful to those who need it most. We can build resource sites or integrate into your existing professional learning platforms (i.e. Google Classroom PL).
Asynchronous Workshops
Choose from among our extensive library of existing workshops or custom create new workshops based on your school’s needs. Your Educate coach will create asynchronous recordings as well as supportive learning materials (i.e. interactive journals).
Skill building workshops for families
Empowering our families to be skillful learning partners has never been more crucial, or more challenging. Your Educate coach can work with you to co-develop and directly deliver learning offerings to help your families navigate the shifts we are all making in post-pandemic teaching and learning.
Here’s an example of some of our available family support content. We can also custom design new offerings based on your family community’s specific needs and the platforms and strategies your school is using.

Design Your Way and Build Powerful and Equitable Learning Practices
If Covid is teaching us anything its change is inevitable. Work with Educate through a series of design workshops and coaching to navigate change & transformation. Build schools that can be responsive and agile while meeting the needs of various stakeholders.
Activate or engage your community through human-centered problem solving
We draw from a deep discipline of equitable human-centered practices including transformational coaching, design thinking, and agile methodologies to bring you and your team on design journeys that produce high efficacy solutions for your most pressing challenges right now. Design journeys comprise of three phases: Inspiration, Ideation, Implementation.
Inspiration
Design journeys begin with building understanding of how people from multiple perspectives are experiencing the problem, what their hopes and desires are related to the problem, and develop a shared aspiration together. This is the phase where we get smart about the challenge and figure out what success looks like.
Ideation
With our insights in hand, we jump into open possibility and creativity, encouraging as many ideas for design as possible. We go for quantity first, then refine our thinking and gather community input to distill down to the most promising solutions. We test solutions and gather data on what will most effectively move your community toward your aspirations.
Implementation
We help you bring the solution to life by collaborating with you to build an actionable execution plan that leverages the strengths of your community members. Our individual coaching support directly builds onto this plan and supports it to thrive in the early, nascent stages.
Design journey stories from our community
Q492 MAST HS: Town Hall redesign
Educate supported the school to redesign their student Town Halls by bringing together a team of students, teachers and leaders and engaging in a design thinking process. Over the course of several meetings, the design team developed empathy maps, brainstormed solutions, converged around an idea, and built a prototype. It led to the creation of student data binders and a revamped Town Hall structure that focused on supporting self-awareness and building metacognitive learning behaviors.
JHS8Q Richard S Grossley: Scholar focus groups
Educate partnered with the school to assemble a group of students, educators, parents and leaders to better understand what students were experiencing during remote and hybrid learning and to generate solutions based on their pain points. We also analyzed the root cause of the problems. The journey led to a community voting session which determined that the school needed to focus more on SEL initiatives to meet the needs of the students. Here is a video of students presenting this team’s work and the solutions they agreed to implement.
D28 district goals setting
Educate partnered with Cedric Hall, Director of Equity and Culture at D28 Community Schools to utilize design thinking to engage in target state thinking around their district goals, develop a value proposition that is responsive to the needs of the community while encouraging divergent thinking and brainstorming, and prototype a set of strategic solutions that would guide the district-vendor partnership. We employ a similar planning approach with any new community partnership.
