| Description, Learning Objective: | Students research famous African American inventors and create a slideshow displaying what they've learned. This lesson may be a part of a Black History Month project or included in a science curriculum (depending on the types of inventions mentioned). | |
| Procedure: | Have each student conduct research a famous African American inventor. Students may be required to use a broad range of sources or a few internet sites selected by the teacher. Students can create story boards for each page or can create slides directly in Power Point. Suggested inventors include Garrett A. Morgan, Madam C.J. Walker, Lewis Latimer, Dr. George F. Grant |
