| Description, Learning Objective: | Students write about and illustrate community service themes. |
| Procedure: | The class goal is to create a Community Book of Service or Wall Presentation. To do this students will: 1) Select a topic such as feeding the poor, donating money, helping a younger sibling with homework, helping parents, volunteering at church, etc. 2) Draw a picture about their topic freehand. 3) Draw the picture of their topic in KidPix (or another drawing program). 4) Write a poem or short paragraph about their topic. 5) Type the poem or information into PowerPoint. 6) Import the pictures into the PowerPoint slides. |
